Pace of Love
Pace of Love
The good times were the best we ever had,
but the bad times were really bad.
Both of us were filled with pride, but
still we wanted to be by each other’s side.
Our actions have been a disgrace,
all in a vain attempt to save face.
You said you needed your space, and
I said I’d put you in that place.
Both of us have stated our case, and
we can find love at our own pace.
All we need is a little time, and then
our love will get in line.
