Indiana Barn Tour Four
Last year I went on a photographic tour of the different kinds of barns in Indiana because every barn is a reflection of the family and the kind of farm it has. We had to circle back to get this right as we went down the road. I like the contrast of the curved roof of one part of the barn compared to the other sections.
Farewell
At times like this, it’s best to say
so long, and not to say good bye.
I’m sure our paths will cross again
along the road, and we’ll say “hi”.
We are saddened at this moment
you are leaving our team,
but changes are part of life, and
are not as bad as they may seem.
Farewell, my friend, farewell.
It’s the time for you to go.
Thank you for the times together,
and you’ll be missed here, I know.

The Elias Tobias Academy
As a person with several college degrees to my credit, I have learned one thing - just because someone has a degree, the learning process does not stop. In many instances, there is no direct educational benefit in the application of a certain degree to a kind of job. In my life, working in a group home for adults really didn’t require a teacher’s license, but it helped, especially with the mentoring aspect of the job.
In the spirit of this continuing education concept, I have created the Elias Tobias Academy. If I had millions of dollars to play with, some of it would go toward creating a physical location with hired instructors and dorms and buildings and staff and things that go with a regular private institution. I don’t have that kind of money, but I would like to help other people learn things so that their lives can be enriched just to know something else or for a better job.
Until the time I have a physical Academy, it will have to be a virtual one, using free on-line classes currently available through other colleges, universities and websites. No certificates can be granted through the Elias Tobias Academy, but perhaps a certificate from another source offering the courses is available. Diplomas aside, it’s the application of the knowledge gained that counts. In a world that is constantly changing in demands for skills, knowing how to do something new will help keep your job or find a new one.
The spirit of learning is the what the Elias Tobias Academy is all about.
The Academy is set up by major links which go into more detail. It’s just that easy and it’s free. Start by clicking here or on the ETA logo to get to the courses.

Signs of Spring

A patch of Blue Dogbane blooms appears on the side of a road in Indianapolis, IN., brightening the green grass that is finding it’s color after a long and cold winter in the area.
Indiana Barn Tour Three
Last year I went on a photographic tour of the different kinds of barns in Indiana because every barn is a reflection of the family and the kind of farm it has. I’m not sure of the location since Patty was driving around the country roads in the summer as I took this photo. This is what many people think of Indiana.

Indiana Barn Tour Two
Last year I went on a photographic tour of the different kinds of barns in Indiana because every barn is a reflection of the family and the kind of farm it has. We saw this barn from Interstate 70 between Indianapolis and Richmond, found the country roads leading to it, and got the shot. It was a good afternoon.
