Residents of an Indianapolis apartment complex begin their day and the sun starts its daily ascent into the sky.

Tomorrow’s another day 

You think you have problems,
And mountains grow from mole hills.
Then  you go see your doctor,
And solutions are sold in a pill.
You wonder if there is another way,
But tomorrow’s another day.
Tomorrow’s another day,
A chance to make a change,
Try something new, or extend your range.
Tomorrow’s another day,
A time to take away all the pain,
Help someone, or win the big game.
Tomorrow’s another day.

You think your problems are hopeless,
But there’s always someone who’s worse.
The situation compounds in interest,
And your history is a curse.
There’s nothing left to say,
But tomorrow’s another day.
Relationships can be difficult
When it come to affairs of the heart.
Sometimes you feel it all should end,
Or want to know how to start.
It’s hard not to let feelings go astray.
But tomorrow’s another day.
Tomorrow’s another day,
A chance to make a change,
Try something new, or extend your range.
Tomorrow’s another day,
A time to take away all the pain,
Help someone, or win the big game.
Tomorrow’s another day.

There’s a possibility of help,
But first you need to learn to give.
Only then will you we the light
And begin a better way to live.

Fall Wildflowers

A pair of bright flowers stand out among the brown and green colors of fall at the Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park  as the wild flowers stay close to the ground to survive until the first frost.

Corn Maize

There are many people who wander,
lost in the turns and twists of
the cornfield looking for the
best ear of corn … the one that
tastes the best or the one with
the best seeds so they can
grow their own field of corn someday.
The field is thick, so thick that
a person can’t make their own
path without cutting down many
stalks in desperation and also
eliminating chances of finding
the prize they are seeking.
The sun gets hotter in the afternoon,
and the clouds in the west shows
sign there might be rain soon.
The showers will cool the sweat
of those people who are still
searching  for the right exit.
Others finish, holding the prize
ear of corn in their hands with
a smile on their faces knowing
they have won the game that day.

Pine Needles
