God Said
Editor’s Note: This poem will be soon published in Eber & Wein Publishing’s Best Poets of 2014.
Your are a blessed child my son,
For you have made the cold, warm,
And the hungry, feasting not only,
Yesterday, but today and tomorrow.
You may not know to whom you helped,
But I can see what all you have done.
When the right time will come, you will
Enter the Gates of Heaven with glory,
And all of your sins will be forgiven.

There is a small piece of land by the side of the road that leads to my apartment complex and and the sloping embankment to a bridge. This area is left unmanaged for the most part, except then is it mowed now and then. This area has become home to at least 10 different types of wildflowers of all colors. Check out the video and see what people don’t see when they go to work.

It’s Tuesday
It’s Tuesday
It’s Tuesday, and it seems like
Saturday is so far way.
I’m glad I’m not here to stay,
because I’d rather be on my
way home to be next to you.
There are those who expect
results of my job that I do.
You’re my center, my North,
And the limit, my South, too.
And you’re my East and West.
The sun rises and sets with you.

Faster than the speed of life

Faster than the speed of life
There are moments that seem to go to slow motion,
Or when events seem like they are suspended in time,
But really these are really happening faster than the speed of life.
When you return to a normal rate and cars are fast, you have
Suddenly become a different person and you don’t
Remember losing who or what that made a difference.
All you realize is that there is a change, and you can’t go back.
