Winter
Winter
Winter
a dried maple leaf quivers in the cold
as the wind rolls it a c r o s s the
ground … another leaf f o l l o w s.
green grass tips grow, through the
thin layer of snow.
the ground looks like a four-day old beard.
soon the summer sun will shine and
shave the snow away and flower
buds will bloom.
