My Dad
My Dad
My dad and I on the property behind his house on May 23, 2013. I’ve lost a few pounds since then.
My Dad
I looked into the mirror today
And noticed I look more and more like my dad.
I’m about as tall as he is,
And there’s a resemblance of hair we now have.
The days of moving here and there
Can be seen in the worn wrinkles on our faces.
Though he is retired at his house,
My wife and I are expected to go our paces.
He doesn’t drive as much now,
And holidays are spent either at his house or not.
We both have too much junk,
But it seems comfortable to keep what we got.
I looked into the mirror today
And noticed I act more and more like my dad.
