Moving Update
Newsletter for the World of Words by Elias Tobias
The move to the new smaller apartment in Indianapolis is going well. A week after the truck arrived and our stuff was unloaded, we have a functional home. More expenses were incurred due to broken and damaged items. The office where this is being typed has a new computer desk and sixteen more boxes that I’ll deal with tomorrow or sometime this week. I’m downsizing to what is needed. Goodwill is going to get more books. Of course, I couldn’t deal with the changes without writing something. Here it is.
A New Shell
Finding and moving into a
new shell is hell for an invertebrate
like me.
I crashed into a rock
and cracked the old one which
was just fine.
I spent a few days at the Surf’s Up
Hotel, and well, it was only
temporary.
There are thousands of shells in the
sea, some of which I discovered were
still occupied,
but I found a newly abandoned model
that, though smaller, was swell.
I can ride the waves happily.
