Easy Street
Easy Street
Easy Street
Life is full of contradictions
and it’s okay to drive in the out.
Education was the key to the door,
but money is what it’s all about.
There’s satisfaction in a job well done,
but the reward is just more work to do.
It is easier to watch others succeed, and
you wonder who really is the fool.
It’s all about who you are inside, and
what compromises are to be made.
Then life falls like a ton of bricks,
And you can’t tell what’s real or fake.
Personal relationships are tested, and
Yes, you do need more than just love.
Expectations mix with success, and
You end up with a house full of stuff.
Life is full of contradictions, and
No one said things would ever be fair.
Working hard is no way to easy street,
But be creative, only if you dare.
Hello Mike,
Totally loved the poem Easy Street. Nailed it right on the dot! Wishing you a fantastic day! Kind regards,
