Memories of a Girl Who Died Today
Memories of a Girl Who Died Today
Brother C.J. Chatham,III, has had the chance to see all kinds of things living in New York City, and I believe this poem may have been inspired by some news article.
Memories of a Girl Who Died Today
I’m sitting at this bar, remembering
how far you went to please
this man for another buck.
On the way home, I’ll meet another girl,
just as young and pretty as you were
on your old corner trying her luck.
