To be a Friend
To be a Friend
Sometimes it’s hard to be a friend.
Perhaps you won’t see them again.
There is a risk which you take
when you fight the hands of fate.
Sometimes it’s hard to be a friend.
They want more than you can lend.
They say friendship costs, but
I’d tell them to get lost.
Sometimes it’s hard to be a friend.
They can hurt you in the end.
They can be your worst enemy,
when the sheep-skined wolf bares teeth.
Sometimes it hurts to have a friend.
It’s hard to leave them in the end.
There is no use to apologize
since the truth is hidden between the lies.
Sometimes it hurts to have a friend.
With a lot of heat from the heart
It’s hard to make steel bend.
there’s a chance the hate will part.
