Minister of Words
Minister of Words
Brother and Rev. Paul Abernathy shows his love of words and why he is a poet.
Minister of Words
The poet is a minister of words
preaching to a congregation of
lost letters and sentences,
and he whispers words of wisdom,
“Let it be. Let it be.”
Brother Paul leads the church
choir in song and writes a few
of his own on the side.
Quoting from The Dictionary,
the Letters of Adverbs and Adjectives
compliments the Poet’s sermon taken
from the third chapter of Subjects
and the fifth chapter of Verbs.
The children’s sermon uses the
Spelling List for young children,
but the old ones still listen.
They need to be reminded of
the truth of correct meanings.
The silver plates are passed
between the pews and money
counted so the Poet can continue
his devotion to the written word.
When the service is over, the
others leave to the real world
and the Poet hopes he made a
difference in their hearts and minds.
