I seem to live, in spite of myself.
I, in time, remember things after
I forget. I manage to pay my bills when
I’m in debt. I have food stored on my
refrigerator shelf. I survive, even when things don’t
go my way. I use extra car keys when I lock
myself out. I find ounces of confidence with
a pound of doubt. When my mind is blank,
I still have a few words to say.
I seem to live, in spite of myself.
