Sea Shell Memories
It was a summer I thought would never end.
I was having problems and needed a friend.
We walked, talked and picked up sea shells on the beach.
My new world was filled with relaxation and peace.
I was good to breathe and feel the warm ocean air,
and I couldn’t believe I was really there.
Your words and thoughts comforted my troubled mind.
I found the inner strength that is sometimes hard to find.
I went on this vacation, stranded, tired and weak.
When I left, I knew I could stand tall on my feet.
I was a different person when I came to this town,
and I’m glad that that you were around to see
the person I knew I could be with more possibilities.
