Join the World of Words Official Fan Club

Be a part of the World of Words official fan club. The webmaster of the World of Words by Elias Tobias has created the Official Fan Club Web Site for the poetry blog. Millions of people come to the poetry and photography blog every month, and comments received have been positive. The Fan Club Web site is free, and those who want to join are urged to register for the main site with the link in the bottom right portion of the page.

The World of Words by Elias Tobias Official Fan Club web site is for those who want more from Elias Tobias and read all there is on the web blog.   The Fan Club has  many added benefits and the goal  of the fan club is to create a true community of the webs site’s readers. Benefits include a personal blog by Elias Tobias called Between the Lines, Faces and Places, the Exponet Insider, free downloads and free classified ads for those who register.

By the end of the year, nearly 160 new poems and previously published poems would have appeared on the World of Words by Elias Tobias, including the poems from The Boys of Lambda Sigma Chi, and the two foreign language books: Les Aventures du Cow-boy Cosmic, the French book, and Palabras de Inspiración, the Spanish book..  Some of the poems are older and some were written this year. I like them all, and I am having a hard time figure out which one I like the best. Readers at the World of Words can help by going through the monthly archives and reading past posts to decide which poem, posted by Dec. 15, is their favorite. Then let me know at contact@eliastobias.net.  All the top vote getters and, of course, the poem of the year for 2009 will be announced in January 2010 Exponent Newsletter.  Be sure to make your vote by the deadline.

The World of Words by Elias Tobias is proud to announce poems and photographs from the web blog will be available in a library quality book as a gift item.  The site has more than 150 poems in its catalog and all of these can be in one book for $49.95, or just  about 30 cents per poem.   Since the web blog is organized into books, all poems in a certain collection can become your custom book based on work online.  Make a book of your favorite poems. No matter how much we plan, anticipate, study or analyze, sometimes all we do to predict the future fails, and the only thing that happens is life itself. The theme of poetry for the month of November is “Life Happens,” for all daily posts, including the Poem of the Month below.

Poem of the Month

The Band

The lead guitar thought he was the star
because he could play his solo perfect
behind his back while standing on his head.>

The keyboard thought the lead guitar was
wrong since he played both the melodies,
harmonies, and wrote the song.

The guitar that played the bass thought
first was his place since he played the
notes that gave the song basic chords.

The drum thought, with his coordinated
happy hands and feet, it was up to him
to keep up the group’s changing beat.
was the best in their own way, but to make
a song sound the best they all had to play
as a single group and listen to the
sounds each member of the band heard.

They had to be in rhythm and they all
had to be in tune, but more than that,
they need to be together or
the group would end soon.
