Your Love
Your Love
I was in church at Ball State around 1990-91 or so when I wrote this poem on the Methodist Church bulletin. I was active at the the in the Wesley Foundation, an outreach for college students through the Methodist Church. I got involved with planning events and a loan from the group helped me through those years. I took my future wife to the first of our two dates at one of Wesley’s more formal events. You can be God or anyone special in your life.
Your Love
The wind is your love…
Your spirit blows around me
And our journey begins
The rain is your love…
You shower me with presents
And wash away all the pain
The snow is your love…
You blanket my life in a way
Only you could know.
The sun is your love…
You light the sky each morning
And I know you are the one.
