Happy Birthday Peter Pan
Happy Birthday Peter Pan,
It’s the day you become a man,
And it’s time to leave never neverland.
The world sees you in different eyes,
And the new brave world will surprise
You, and you could even be scared
Of the changes that happened
While you were away. They’re here to stay.
Some, not much older than you, are at war.
And others wonder what we’re fighting for.
The catch phrase for the decade is “national security,”,
But what does this mean for you and me?
Food and housing are reasons to work,
A word in Neverland that really hurt.
But when I look at what you’ve done,
You’ve had problems on your side of the sun,
You’ve fought pirates and animals with your staff.
You had a band of brothers who made you laugh,
And you could rest at the end of the day.
If I were in your shoes, I’d be tempted to stay.
You conquered one world in youth,
And as an adult, you have to deal with this one.
With responsibilities, you need to care for your wife and son.
Keep your Happy Thoughts!
Happy Birthday, Peter Pan.
