Birthday Month
I will be 52 this month, and I will celebrate a writing “career” that started when he was 12. That is 40 years of poems, short stories, plays (only two-they take work), many newspaper stories, photo captions for hundreds of photos, headlines, and college research papers. More a more complete biography, go to the biography page of The World of Words by Elias Tobias.
For a combination birthday and wedding anniversary celebration (from last month), my wife and I will be spending a weekend getaway at a cabin. We have been married 15 years.
There are many more years left to write more poems, to take more pictures and to be with Patty. Hopefully I’ll get full-time employment by the end of this year.

New “book,” or poetry category to features Poem of the Month
The World of Words by Elias Tobias will begin using a new book or poetry category, Mental Grafitti: Words on the Wall. This will be a collection of thoughts that at first may be random, however the common theme will be poems that are similar to the artwork of those who paint their thoughts with spray cans on walls and train cars. They are saying this is who I am, and this is where I am at this time in my life. Its the art of the common people.
For the record, I’m not promoting the concept of defacing private or public property, since it is against the law. I am not promoting the use of grafitti in regard to gangs or the marking of territory, with the use the title of this new book. This collection is an allegory of the words on the wall, if there is one, in my brain.
