Construction Memo

Do not attempt to straighten out any
bent nails used with projects under
construction.  Even though we are a
not-for-profit agency and attempts to
save money in most situations is sincerely
appreciated, it is of no use to attempt
to straighten out any bent nails, new  or
old,  since they will never be restored to
their original condition despite any
amount of force applied to the metal.
They will always bend at their weakest
point, the place at which they were first
bent, rendering them useless to us.
We have funds to purchase enough nails,
if they are used to constructions standards
and building codes, for our human projects.

It’s Tuesday

It’s Tuesday

It’s Tuesday, and it seems like
Saturday is so far way.
I’m glad I’m not here to stay,
because I’d rather be on my
way home to be next to you.
There are those who expect
results of my job that I do.

You’re my center, my North,
And the limit, my South, too.
And you’re my East and West.
The sun rises and sets with you.

Hey, I know things between us aren’t just right,
Ever since we had our last little fight.
But I want you to know that I’ve see the light,
And I know our future’s gonna be bright.

Just Grin

You can’t judge a book by its cover, nor can
you measure a man by the color of his skin.
What really matters is what in the person’s
soul and on the pages of the past within.

People make their own choice whether to
be a child of God or be lost in sin,
and it’s up to each one of us to help
our children learn where to begin.

So next time there is some violent act,
and a certain group claims that win,
the difference in space between
love and hate becomes real thin.

When someone does something to you
that you think is bad, just grin.
The chances of that person saying or
doing it is probably one of your kin.

Farewell

At times like this, it’s best to say
so long, and not to say good bye.
I’m sure our paths will cross again
along the road, and we’ll say “hi”.

We are saddened at this moment
you are leaving our team,
but changes are part of life, and
are not as bad as they may seem.

Farewell, my friend, farewell.
It’s the time for you to go.
Thank you for the times together,
and you’ll be missed here, I know.
