Burned Bagel

Burned my bagel in the toaster today,
but it was only black on the edges.
I was hungry and ate it anyway,
and my breakfast was salvaged.
I also had juice and hot tea,
and a serving of peach yogurt, too.
It was all good enough for me and
burnt bread won’t make my day blue.
