I’m Going Back

A poem by Brother Kyle Morgan Stewart

I’m Going Back

I hear the morning train,
The only one on the track,
This will be my last ride
because I’m going back.

Back home where I belong,
back where I am free,
back where I can sing my songs.

I hear the whistle blowing,
and I hold on to my cowboy hat.
I need to look my best
because I’m going back,

Back home with all my friends.
back where I know I’m me,
back where I’ll be loved till the end.
