Waitin’ at the Bus Stop Blues

Waitin’ at the Bus Stop Blues

I got the waitin’ at the bus stop blues,
And the time wasted is not new.
I got the waitin’ at the bus stop blues,
but I’m glad I’m waitin’ with you.

Here we are again waitin’ on the bus.
I’m beginning to think they forget about us.
They are at least 15-20 minutes late,
and I really need to get to work today.
It’s cold when the wind blows on the street.
I feel the chill from my head to my feet.
I think it’s colder that it was yesterday,
and weatherman says winter is here to stay.

I got the waitin’ at the bus stop blues,
And the time wasted is not new.
I got the waitin’ at the bus stop blues,
but I’m glad I’m waitin’ with you.

Icy roads may have caused an accident,
and the door to the bus may be bent.
Then how am I going to get in, or maybe
the problems are just my imagination.
It’s times like this I wish we had a car,
but the money we make won’t go that far.
The kind of car I want costs too much,
then I have to buy gas, tires and such.

I got the waitin’ at the bus stop blues,
And the time wasted is not new.
I got the waitin’ at the bus stop blues,
but I’m glad I’m waitin’ with you.
