I Saw an Angel

I Saw an Angel

I heard an angel playing a simple song.
Her body was surrounded by a yellow glow.
Her face was somehow very familiar.
Her gown moved as the wind flirted a blow.
As I breathed, I valued every breath .
Maybe it wasn’t the time for me to go.
All she said was “I will be back.”

I saw an angel playing a simple song.
Even in the day she had a yellow glow.
Maybe she was from life or from death.
There wasn’t any way for me to know.
But I reacted quickly to save your life.
Maybe it wasn’t the time for you to go.
All she said was “I will be back.”

I saw an angel playing a simple song.
Even in the night she had a yellow glow.
That evening it was clear who was a star.
With your moves, it was all your show.
I stopped you from doing the last joke.
Maybe it wasn’t the time for you to go.
All she said was “I will be back.”

I heard an angel playing a simple song.
Her body was surrounded by a yellow glow.
She walked normally upon the water.
Stream wandered carelessly as it flowed.
Like Time, she could change it’s course.
Maybe it wasn’t the time for it to go.
All she said was “I will be back.”

I saw an angel playing a simple song.
Even in the day she had a yellow glow.
The sun continued to shine as usual,
allowing all plant and animal life to grow.
Perhaps she could make it all disappear.
Maybe it wasn’t time for the world to go.
All she said was, “I will be back.”
