I can feel the strong winds blowing

It seems like I’ve been here before,
but really this is a new place to stay.
I’ve lived here nearly a year now,
and I think I should be on my way.
I’ve been on my own for a long time.
and no place has felt like a home.
I have a paying job, and a box of an
apartment I come back from work alone.
There are people I work with and know,
but their faces seem to be the same,
and whenever I leave here again,
I will probably forget their names.
I’m good at my line of work, and
I know just how to get along, but
there seems to be something missing,
like an ending to a fantastic song.
I’ve lived here nearly a year now,
and I think I should be on my way.
I can feel the strong winds blowing, and
the skies are turning cloudy and gray.
