Tea with Honey

I made a cup of tea without sugar,
and used a teaspoon of honey instead.
The taste was naturally different,
and it went well with my toasted bread.
Necessity was the force of change
to a sip of temporary paradise.
I was surprised to run out of sugar,
the commonly used daily spice.
Unexpected pleasures can arrive
from required substitutions.
Resistance to change can stop
processes of finding solutions.
