Can’t Go Back

You can’t go back, now since decisions
Have already been made.
Money has been invested, and spent,
And people have been paid.
Events and deadlines have been
Put into motion,
And they continue like the waves
The move on the ocean.
You say you want to change your mind,
But you have signed on the dotted line.
Life, at best, is a balancing act, and once
history is made, it becomes a fact.
