20. Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

17. Every problem is a possibility in disguise.
18. Eighty percent of success is showing up.
19. Your dreams come true when you act to turn them into realities.
20. Success is more a function of consistent common sense than it is of genius.
21. Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so some people miss them.

6. We don’t see things as they are; we see them as we are.
7. The greatest griefs are those we cause ourselves.
20. Stop worrying about the potholes in the road and celebrate the journey.

1. Courage is nor the towering oak tree that sees storms come and go; it is the fragile blossom from the acorn that opens in the snow.
2. The clash of ideas is the sound of freedom.
3. Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth.
4. Rank does not confer privilege or give power. It imposes responsibility.
5. Patriotism is not just waving the flag, but it is striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong.
6. If our country is worth dying for in time of war, let us resolve that it is truly worth living in time of peace.
7. Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

A replica of the cabin built by George Rogers Clark in Clarksville, Indiana. The original was built in 1803 overlooking the Ohio River. Clark received this land as payment for his heroism in the American Revolution. In that war, he raided British outposts south and west of Detroit. He captured Kaskaskia on the Mississippi (1778) and, in a daring winter assault, Vincennes on the Wabash (1779), securing American claims to the Northwest. He led an expedition against the Shawnee Indians in Ohio (1782). The financial records of Clark’s raids were burnt by Benedict Arnold’s troops in a 1781 attack on Richmond, Virginia. As a result, he was never paid for his expenditures and finished his life in poverty. The original cabin was part of a farm that also included a barn, corn crib, orchard and slave cabins. For more information about Clark, go to http://www.answers.com/topic/george-rogers-clark.

Angelic assistance is heavenly.
There are insurance companies

The Deal
As the game starts, the rules change,
and the number of cards I get varies so
much I don’t know what cards to play
and the right time to show them.
The deal changes to another dealer,
and I wish I could get out of this game.
But once I fold, I can’t get in the game,
again, and I would lose all my winnings.
The truth is I play with the cards I got,
according to the rules of the minute
and sometimes that is really isn’t a lot.

No need for “official English language”

Language is the art of communication, especially in a societal sense. This country has been created and grown on the diversity of thoughts, ideals, and language. As a result the way the people talk in New Hampshire do not communicate the same way as people do in New Orleans, and there are a variety of other regional accents just as distinctive in other parts to this country.

Since the mid-1980’s, a conservative political effort has grown to legislate English as the official national language. Those who believe this think that a collective use of foreign languages in the USA hurts rather than helping immigrants, and the cost of printing signs and documents in various languages is a waste of tax money. This “Official English” bill H.R. 997 would eliminate publishing official publications other in than a “standard” English. With more than 33 million foreign-born people in this country, communication is crucial for all segments of society.

It is important to note here, as a man with a formal education and as a writer, a command of the written and spoken English is imperative for success in a general sense, and on a regional or national scale. English is a standard of business for the world, but realize English is a changing language influence heavily by foreign influences and cultures. Through a strong diversity emerges an even stronger unity of conversation and sharing of ideas.

Any effort to legislate an “official” language for this country would be denial of everything this country stands for, and such an “official” conservative movement could lead to an “official religion” here. One language does not fit all, even if the waistband has enough elastic to expand from sea to shining sea.

Rev. Paul Abernathy, one of the more outspoken members of the unofficial fraternity, uses his religious training to make a personal statement.

Cheap Information
Adam looked around paradise,
and he was at wonder and peace.
Then he saw other animals had a mate,
and then God blessed him with Eve.
On a bright day, she saw a snake
coiled on a limb of low tree.
It said she could have knowledge
of the world, and the price was
discounted, practically free.
All she had to do was take a bite
from an apple from this one tree.
She asked Adam, and God had warned
him, saying, “All you need is me.”
Eve was hungry, and in the middle
of the night she got a bite of
an apple when Adam was asleep.
In the morning, they realized they
were naked and gathered some leaves
to cover parts of their body that
other animals showed naturally.
Even with knowledge and power,
people can easily be deceived,
especially when the drive for
this information can exceed
the paradise that we have
already existing under our feet.
